Balearic Islands- Ibiza

Renowned as the clubbing capital of the world, hedonists have been flocking to Ibiza in droves ever since 1960s, when the first hippies, in pursuit of nirvana, were drawn to the islands Mediterranean beauty, charter a superyacht in Ibiza is  simple thanks to many yacht charter companies operating in the market.

The Islanders were incredibly poor and welcomed strangers to their shores with open arms, absorbing newcomers into the local culture with such ease that they soon became part of Ibiza’s intrinsic charter.

Despite half century of particularly boisterous mass tourism and the inevitable charmless costal developments that accompany it, the island has still somehow managed to retain much of its original attraction. Ibiza is part of the Balearic archipelago, about 100 Km southwest of the other famous charter place for private yachts, Majorca. It is scenically incredibly beautiful by yacht.

The coastline is rigged with stretches of sandy beach and sheltered coves ideals to spend a night on board a luxury yacht. From Superyachts there are beautiful views of the sea, and if you want you can land by the tender to the yacht for charter through untouched Mediterranean countryside where the scent of pine trees lingers in the air.

The turistic Marina of Ibiza is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old town, Dal Vila is exceptionally picturesque, built on the side of a cliff with medieval city walls and maze of narrow streets winding uphill to the 14th century cathedral and the castel. There are two beautiful beaches nearby: Ses Salines and Es Cavallet.

Sant Antoni de Portmany on the west coast is the most developed part of the island, where clubbers congregate for a non-stop yacht party.

If the Bacchanalian atmosphere here gets too much, you can head for the unspoilt north coast where you can always find a quiet cala to relax on board a yacht for charter, with only the sea, the cliffs and the sky for company.
